Rawhiti Health Centre was established in 1985 by Physiotherapist Chris Nelson                  (M.NZ.PA, Dip Physio) and has been responsible for providing Physiotherapy ever since. Chris's specialty is in the area of Manipulative Therapy & Muscle - Skeletal Medicine, after finding there was a gap in the area for someone treating difficult back and neck injuries.

Due to Chris's developed skill in Manipulative Therapy patients come from the wider Canterbury area to be treated for various injuries. Often after years of struggling with old injuries, they find relieve at Rawhiti Health Centre.
Divers Sports Teams throughout Canterbury refer their players to the clinic.
Rawhiti Health Centre works in close relation with the top Christchurch Surgeons and Muscle Skeletal Specialists. Referring their patients to the clinic and vice versa.
